A BRADFORD City fan who was left with shocking facial injuries after being assaulted after a match has issued an update on his condition.
Callum Pyrah was leaving Valley Parade following the Bantams' game against Harrogate Town on Saturday, November 5 when he witnessed two cars speeding down Midland Road.
Callum said he shouted at the drivers, which is when things turned nasty.
He added: "Next thing I hear someone shout 'they’re coming' - turn around and whack, I’m dazed and get pummelled by three of them plenty of times.
"They pushed my grandad to the floor and kicked him too."
The 26-year-old remained in A&E until 3am but needed to return to the hospital the next day.
In the latest update, he said: "My eye socket was fractured and has since been operated on Monday just gone, I’m now home and recovering.
"I’d just like to take a minute to thank everyone for the messages.
"Unfortunately, the Northampton game has come too soon, so I’ll be supporting through iFollow.
"I would like to request anyone else who witnessed it to contact the police, crime reference number: 13220611626"
Police confirmed to the T&A today that enquiries are still ongoing into the incident.
