A BRADFORD man has been jailed for damaging a police cell and harassment.
Michael Holt, 55, of Crosley Wood Road in Bingley, was sentenced to 14 weeks when his case was heard at Bradford And Keighley Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, November 16.
According to court documents, Holt used threatening/abusive insulting words/behaviour to cause harassment/alarm or distress against another male on Bradford Road in Bingley.
The offence, which he pleaded guilty to, happened on September 18.
By going to that location on that date, he was also in breach of a Criminal Behaviour Order.
On September 26, at Trafalgar House Police Station, he damaged the cell to the value of around £200, which he also pleaded guilty to.
In total, he was committed to prison for 14 weeks. He must also pay £100 compensation.
Court documents said the offences were so serious because they were aggravated by the defendant's record of previous offending and his flagrant disregard for court orders.
