A MAN has appeared in court after being caught speeding at more than 100mph on a Bradford motorway.
Mohammed Iqbal, 26, of Reservoir Street, Dewsbury, faced one charge of speeding – exceeding 70mph motorway limit – manned equipment.
He was caught driving a motor vehicle between Junction 2 of the M606 and the M62 southbound, at a speed exceeding 70mph, when he was clocked at 105mph on July 6, 2021.
Iqbal was handed six driving licence points, fined £202, ordered to pay £300 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £34 victim surcharge for the offence. A collection order was made by the court at Iqbal’s sentencing hearing.
Hussain pleaded guilty to the charge after pleading not guilty at an earlier hearing and was sentenced at Kirklees Magistrates’ Court on November 3, 2022.
