POLICE have charged a driver after he was found to be nearly four times over the drink-drive limit.
On Wednesday evening, police were made aware of a report of dangerous driving in Otley.
Upon pulling the vehicle over, the driver refused to give a roadside breath test.
Once back at the station, they took a breath test and blew a reading of 131 micrograms - the legal limit is 35mg per 100 millilitres of breath.
On Thursday, a West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Yesterday evening, NPT officers responded to a report of a car driving dangerously in the Otley area.
"The driver did not complete a roadside breath test and was therefore arrested for failure to provide.
"They were taken to custody where they blew an evidential reading of 131mg.
"The driver has now been charged with driving whilst over the prescribed limit of alcohol and will find themselves in court soon."
