A MAN has been fined as he did not have a Covid testing package on his arrival in England after he landed at Leeds Bradford Airport.
Alfie White, 21, of Greengarth, Bottesford, Scunthorpe, faced one charge of being a person arriving in England who failed to possess a coronavirus testing package.
On June 13, 2021, White arrived at Leeds Bradford Airport and contravened the requirement to possess a testing package on arrival in England.
This was contrary to regulations 6(3)(a) and 19(1)(c) and (15) of the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel and Operator Liability) (England) Regulations 2021.
White was fined £1,760, and ordered to pay £90 costs as well as a £176 victim surcharge for the one offence. A collection order was made by the court at the hearing.
The case against White was proved at a single justice procedure hearing at Greater Manchester Magistrates’ Court on November 8, 2022.
