A DRAMATIC viral video shows a Bradford motorist and a cyclist colliding on a zebra crossing.

The footage was captured on Horton Grange Road, Bradford where a cyclist can be seen riding across a zebra crossing.

The rider approaches the crossing and begins to cycle across.

One car narrowly avoids him, but a second oncoming vehicle fails to stop at the zebra crossing as if the driver couldn't see the cyclist, knocking him off his bike and driving off.

The video was posted by Jeremy Vine on Twitter with the caption "How does the driver fail to see him."

A debate has erupted on Twitter over who was on the wrong, the driver or the cyclist.

One user said: "How does he fail to see the car ?"

Another said: "Both of them are seriously in the wrong and the first led to the second as the second may have incorrectly assumed the zebra crossing was clear as the first car hid the cyclist on the crossing - obviously they both should have stopped."

The debate has now spanned to Europe with one user from Amsterdam saying: "You can also ask how the cyclist failed to see the car. I live in Amsterdam with awesome cycling infrastructure but irresponsible cycling like this causes crashes."
