What to expect from the yellow rain warning
The Met Office has told us to expect the following:
- There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings
- Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures
- Should flooding occur, delays or cancellations to train and bus services are likely
- There is a small chance that some communities may be temporarily cut off by flooded roads
Bradford Council tweeted advice to residents ahead of the weather warning: “A Yellow Weather Warning for Rain from midnight tonight until midnight on Thursday has been issued by the @metoffice which covers the Bradford district. Please take care if you're out and about."
