A popular Bradford concert band has raised over £5,000 for the BBC’s Children in Need appeal.
Performing in Bingley, Hot Aire!, Hall Royd Brass Band, and Fresh Aire! took to the stage for a special fundraising concert.
The bands were also joined by Ilkley Youth Choir, Ilkley Stage Singers and the Bradford and Airedale Youth Choir.
The event raised £5,020.82 for this year’s appeal in total.
A spokesperson for the band said: “The atmosphere was electric.
“Pudsey Bear studied all our music and his choreography was just amazing. Audiences were blown away and Pudsey was the star of the concerts.
“Each of the choirs loved the opportunity to perform in such a lovely theatre and there was a real buzz of excitement surrounding the whole day. The children loved sharing the stage with Pudsey Bear and thought it was wonderful when he joined in with the actions and movements to their songs.”
Linda Stafford, chair of Hot Aire!, said “We give thanks to over 150 performers that made this possible. Children in Need supports a whole range of disadvantages such as poverty, disability, illness and trauma.
“Thank you to everyone who supported the concerts, including the businesses who provided such generous raffle prizes.”
