A MAN has been banned for drink driving on a road near Leeds Bradford Airport.
Daniel Gibson, 39, of White Laithe Avenue, Leeds, faced one charge of driving a motor vehicle when alcohol was above the limit.
He was caught driving at Leeds Bradford Airport, Harrogate Road, Bramhope, Leeds, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in his breath, namely 51 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit. The offence took place on October 24, 2022.
Gibson was disqualified from holding, or obtaining, a driving licence for 12 months for the offence. He was also fined £400 and ordered to pay a £160 victim surcharge and £85 costs for the charge. A collection order was made by the court at the sentencing hearing.
Gibson pleaded guilty to the drink driving charge and was sentenced at Leeds Magistrates’ Court on November 9, 2022.
