Promoters behind Zeeshan Khan Rokhri’s cancelled Bradford show have spoken out about the emergency evacuation.

The popular Pakistani folk singer was forced to cancel his show at the LIFE Church, just moments before going on stage.

The audience had already taken their seats when West Yorkshire Police were called to reports of a security threat.

As a precautionary measure, the building was evacuated, and a search was carried out. Nothing was found.

Footage shows the folk star walking out of the events space alongside police officers, with members of the crowd standing bewildered in the front car park.

It followed another incident on Sunday, where the force dealt with criminal damage to one of the church’s function rooms.

Police have since revealed the two incidents are believed to be linked and have been recorded as hate crimes.
