A 52-YEAR-OLD has been handed a suspended prison sentence for carrying a locking blade.
Gary Bower, of Allerton Road, Bradford, pleaded guilty to possessing a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place, at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court last Wednesday.
He was caught carrying a locking blade at the junction of Hey Street and Listerhills Road, near Bradford city centre, on July 2 this year.
Bower was given a three month jail sentence, suspended for six months.
The 52-year-old was also ordered to pay £239 to the court.
This included a £154 surcharge to fund victim services and costs of £85.
