A 26-YEAR-old man has been jailed for using threatening behaviour on three separate occasions and assaulting a police officer.
Yaser Khan, of Malsis Road, Keighley, appeared before Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court on November 9, and was sentenced to 21 weeks imprisonment.
Khan pleaded guilty to three counts of threatening behaviour in Shipley in April this year over a five-day period.
He also admitted displaying an abusive sign at an address in Shipley on April 27.
He pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer at Trafalgar House, Nelson Street in Bradford, which took place on April 13.
Khan also admitted possession of cannabis in Shipley town centre on April 23.
In addition, he pleaded guilty to making threatening telephone calls in Keighley to a woman on December 13, 2021.
Court documents show magistrates believed the offences were so serious because they were aggravated by the defendant’s record of previous offending.
