A BRADFORD man has been fined as he did not have a Covid testing package on his arrival in England after he landed at an airport.
Walid Mohammed, 33, of Union Road, faced one charge of being a person arriving in England who failed to possess a coronavirus testing package.
On March 11, 2021, Mohammed arrived at Manchester Airport and contravened the requirement to book a day two and day eight Covid-19 test.
This was contrary to regulations 3B(2) and 6(1)(ab) and (4) of the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) (England) Regulations 2020.
Mohammed was fined £1,500, ordered to pay £620 costs as well as a £150 victim surcharge for the offence.
The case against Mohammed was proved in his absence at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court on November 9, 2022.
