TUESDAY will be a historic day for Bradford, with the arrival of King Charles III in one of his first regional visits as the new monarch.
Here we look back on His Majesty’s previous visits to the city, when he was Prince Charles.
In November 1978 he was only in Bradford for three hours, but managed to impress official parties and warm the hearts of Bradfordians. Landing in the grounds of Bradford’s McMillan College, the Prince made his way to the Provincial Building Society and City Hall, to be greeted by 4,000 people cheering in the huge crowd.
