A MAN has been fined £120 for begging in Shipley Market Square.
Blake Turner, 29, of Fairfax Avenue in Bierley, was found guilty of begging in a public place at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court on October 18.
He did not attend court.
Turner was caught begging in Shipley Market Square on August 14 this year.
This is an offence under Section 3 of the Vagrancy Act 1824 and Section 70 of the Criminal Justice Act 1982.
The court fined Turner £120 for the offence.
There were no costs or a surcharge imposed due to Turner's lack of means, court records show.
