WELL-known CBeebies TV Presenter, George Webster has made the shortlist for a prestigious BAFTA award in the Presenter category.
George, known for his larger-than-life personality, quickly became the favourite of parents and children alike and made the shortlist earlier this week.
The presenter from Rawdon said: “I feel so honoured and privileged to be shortlisted for this BAFTA Award.
“I am so proud and I'm so over the moon to be represented at BAFTA.
“Everyone at CBeebies is so friendly, lovely, supportive and welcoming.
“At CBeebies, they make me feel like I'm part of a massively close family."

In a video posted on Twitter, screams of joy could be heard from both Geroge and his manager giving him the news.
George made history as CBeebies’ first TV presenter with Down’s Syndrome when he started working there last September.
We’re so proud George! ♥️

In an interview with the T&A, Geroge said: “I want to be just George, not George with Down's Syndrome. I’m a normal person like everyone else and that’s how I want to be treated.
“Growing up I had a lot of support from my family, friends, teachers, and local charities that helped me get to where I am today.
“I love singing, dancing, and being a presenter, and I’m glad that I get to raise awareness about people living with Down's Syndrome through my job.
“Me being on CBeebies opens the conversation of disability at an earlier age and if we can get children to think of disabilities in a different way then we’re changing the world already.”
Through his role on the channel he has raised awareness for people living with disabilities and has increased the representation for children living with Down’s syndrome.
George has worked with Mencap, a charity that works with people who have a learning disability, called Myth Busters, where he tackles assumptions and myths about Down's Syndrome.
Earlier this year he was included in the Radio Times 100 list for creating change in entertainment.
The Others nominated in the category are Braydon Bent for FYI Investigates: Brazil, Yolanda Brown for YolanDa’s Band Jam, and Hamza Yassin for Let’s Go For A Walk.
The awards ceremony will be held earlier next year at London’s Royal Festive Hall.
