A MURAL has been placed on a Bradford district wall that has been a hotbed for graffiti in the past.
Using Bradford Community Repaint, whose mission is to reduce paint waste by collecting leftover household paint for reuse, the mural features a map of local landmarks including the iconic Damart Mill in Bingley and Salt Mills in Saltaire.
Local artists contributing to the artwork include Sven Shaw (Baildon), Hannah Toehill (Shipley), Lucy Phillips (Guiseley), Andrew Szymansky (Saltaire), Shiraaz Ali (Bradford) and Tom Bailey (Leeds).
It was home shopping giant Damart who commissioned the mural on the wall of its canal-side workshop.
Ben Northrop, H&S and Facilities Manager at Damart, said: “We are thrilled to be working with such a great community group to bring a new lease of life to our workshop.
"Having faced issues with graffiti on the workshop wall for many years, we hope the new artwork will deter further vandalism.”
