THE City of Bradford Pipe Band will attend a Remembrance Sunday commemoration at Greengates Cenotaph on November 13.
They have been commissioned by local community group Friends of Greengates Cenotaph to attend the Remembrance commemoration at 11am led by St John's Community Church vicar Chris Baxfield.
Theu will then join people at the church hall afterwards for refreshments and play for them there.
Friends of Greengates Cenotaph Secretary Mike Frazer said: "Our community group wanted to provide something memorable and special for this year’s Greengates and Apperley Bridge Remembrance and everybody loves the sound of the bagpipes and the skirl of the kilt.
"We are very pleased the City of Bradford Pipe Band agreed to attend our sacred commemoration."
Greengates Junction and approach roads will be closed to traffic between 10.30am and 11.15 am by the police to accommodate the large crowds expected to attend the Cenotaph Remembrance and parade from St Johns Community Church from 10.45am led by the pipers.
