A SHOP was found selling a vape to a youth during a police operation earlier.
Officers covering Leeds North West conducted the operation in Guiseley, Yeadon and Rawdon on Tuesday.
Out of the seven shops tested, one failed after it was caught selling a vape to someone who was underage.
A force spokesperson said: "To protect our younger residents, we often carry out test-purchasing operations, ensuring local shops are aware of the law around sales of certain items (alcohol, cigarettes, fireworks and vapes).
"We conducted one such operation yesterday (Tuesday) in Guiseley, Yeadon and Rawdon.
"Out of the seven shops that were tested, only one failed, by selling a vape to someone underage.
"We will continue to do these, especially in the run-up to bonfire night."
