A PROJECT exploring the history of a demolished block of flats in Bradford will be launched next week.
The artist Claire Wellesley-Smith will lead a project looking at the history of Ripleyville in West Bowling. It starts on Tuesday, November 2, and will run from 11am to 1pm for 12 weeks.
Claire is well known for leading art projects about heritage, in particular the dye and wool industry, and will join with Shine (West Bowling) in marking the demolition of the flats and how they have fit into the history of West Bowling.
Entitled 'Repair', the project will create a piece of art alongside informal discussion, friendly company and lunch.
Sessions will be held in the 'Shine' building (St Stephen's Church Hall), Newton Street, BD5 7BH.
All are welcome, but particularly anyone who has lived in Ripleyville at any stage.
