THERE is confusion at Leeds-Bradford Airport (LBA) this morning as some flights have been delayed and even cancelled, reportedly due to fog.
Bradfordians and people across the district and surrounding area have woken up to a layer of fog coating the sky this morning and the weather is seemingly impacting flight travel.
Several services earlier this morning, such as flights to Malaga and Ibiza, have set off with relatively little trouble.
But Ryanair service to Gerona Costa Brava, in Spain at 7.15am is yet to take to the sky and now has an estimated depature time of 12.45pm - more than five hours later than scheduled.
There have also been issues with the 7.40am Ryanair flight to Wroclaw, in Poland.
One concerned female traveller due to take that flight said they had heard a number of different messages, including that they may now have to fly from Manchester Airport.
They said people had been queueing to board from 7am but that alarm bells were ringing when the gate doors had still not been opened at 7.30am, with people sat on the floor waiting.
It was foggy when the woman walked up to LBA this morning but not the "worst" fog she has ever seen.
LBA's website shows the 8.35am Aer Lingus flight has been delayed until around 9.35am but the female traveller, who is heading to Wroclaw for a short holiday said they have been told it is cancelled.
She added: "I just feel confused and out of the picture as passengers haven't been told anything from Ryanair or the airport.
"The only announcement that's been broadcast to the airport is a flight to Dublin being cancelled.
"It just makes you concerned that you're waiting for nothing and like you've been left in the dark.
"I wouldn't even mind if they said it's delayed by three or four hours, I just want to know I'll be getting on a plane today."
Boards at the airport and on LBA's website said information would be provided at 8am, in regards to the Wroclaw flight.
The service was initially pushed back to 9am and now further to 9.50am, according to the woman.
The Telegraph & Argus has contacted both LBA and Ryanair for comment.
