A TEENAGE boy has been arrested after the Ilkley war memorial was vandalised twice in the space of a week.
Pink swastikas were daubed onto the stonework on all four of its sides, as well as on buildings in other parts of the memorial grounds.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Police have arrested a 15-year-old male after the Ilkley war memorial was vandalised twice in the space of a week.
"The 15-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and remains in police custody at this time.
"Enquiries are ongoing. Local Neighbourhood officers will continue to patrol the area to provide reassurance to residents."
