THE family of a popular Bradford boy who died after being in a collision in Wakefield Road have left floral tributes to mark a year since he died.
Tayyab, 10, from East Bowling, was badly injured on October 13 last year after being hit by a van just before 7pm while taking part in an outdoor gym session with a boxing club he attended.
A woman nearby rushed to try and help Tayyab.
He was rushed to Leeds General Infirmary where he was immediately placed in an induced coma in intensive care.
Despite the heroic efforts of medical staff, Tayyab could not be saved and he died on October 19, 2021.
His funeral was attended by thousands of mourners and prayers were said by the children and teachers at his school at Bradford Academy.
Family friend Abdul Satar said the family was 'deeply moved' by everyone's best wishes and prayers for Tayyab.
