A BRADFORD man has been banned from driving for three years after failing to provide a breath specimen.
Abdul Rehman, 44, of Sanford Road in Barkerend, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen for analysis at South Yorkshire Magistrates' Court last Tuesday.
He was sentenced on the same day.
Rehman was required to provide a specimen, or specimens, of breath for analysis on September 22 this year in Doncaster, after it was suspected he had been driving a vehicle.
The specimen was to be taken by a device of a type approved by the Secretary of State.
The 44-year-old was disqualified from driving for 36 months for the offence.
This can be reduced by 274 days if by November 11, 2024 he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.
Rehman was also handed a community order and must participate in up to 10 Rehabilitation Activity Requirement days.
