AN 81-year-old man has appeared in court charged with causing damage at a Bradford city centre bookmakers.
Andrew Gibson, of Radwell Drive, near Little Horton Lane, Bradford, faced one charge of criminal damage to property under £5,000.
He was convicted of an offence of, without lawful excuse, damaging a fruit machine and television to the value of £2,000, intending to destroy or damage such property, or being reckless as to whether such property would be destroyed or damaged.
The offence took place at William Hill bookmakers, Broadway, Bradford, on August 30, 2022.
Gibson was handed a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £500 compensation. A collection order was made by the court.
He pleaded guilty when he was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on October 12, 2022.
