A 52-year-old Ilkley man has been fined £1,500 after pleading guilty to assaulting an emergency worker.
Stephen Burke, of Kings Road, Ilkley, carried out the assault by beating of a police officer at Woodies Ale House, 104 Otley Road, Leeds, on September 3, 2022
He pleaded guilty to the offence on October 11, 2022 at Leeds Magistrates' Court.
He was fined £1,500 by magistrates and ordered to pay £100 compensation and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
The defendant's guilty plea was taken into account when imposing sentence.
The fine was uplifted from £1,000 to £1,500 due to the offence being assault on emergency worker.
No separate penalty was imposed for the offence of using threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour with intent to cause fear of/provoke unlawful violence, also at Woodies Ale House on September 3.
