A 29-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with an early hours arson attack.
West Yorkshire Police were called to a house fire on Queensway, between Yeadon and Guiseley, just before 3am on Wednesday (October 12).
Fire crews from Rawdon, Stanningley and Cookridge tackled the blaze and rescued one woman from the property.
In the latest update from police, the force revealed it has arrested a woman on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.
She remains in custody at this time and enquiries are continuing.
The full police statement reads: “At 2.49am today (Wednesday), police were called by the fire service to a house fire in Queensway, Yeadon.
“Officers were advised the blaze was believed to have been started deliberately and following enquiries a 29-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.
“She remains in custody at this time and enquiries are continuing.”
