A new dementia group is making space for people to come together over tea and cake.
Shipley Memories Group, founded by Shipley NPT at West Yorkshire Police, is aimed at people living with dementia, loneliness and/or low mood.
Depression is common side effect of the condition, often caused by social isolation, medication, lack of sleep and more.
The free event takes place every Monday between 11am and 1pm at Shipley Bowling Club on Bradford Road.
There will be games, raffles, sandwiches provided by Tiffin Sandwiches and Shipley Asda, as well as cakes from Just Desserts Shipley.
PCSO Ben Verdeyen said: “The group gives its members two hours a week to forget about their troubles and enjoy games and refreshments with like-minded people.”
Booking is not necessary.
