A DRONE is being used by police who continue to search for the remains of the last Moors Murder victim today.

This morning, the device was used on the remote area just off the remote A635 'Isle of Skye' road near the border between West Yorkshire and Greater Manchester.

Pictures also show a forensic tent in the middle of the wilderness with Crime Scene Investigation officers busy at work.

Yesterday Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said they had not yet found any "identifiable human remains"

Since Friday, officers have been digging up parts of Saddleworth Moor following a tip-off the previous day from an author researching the murder of Keith Bennett.

12-year-old Keith was the only victim of the five children - murdered by Ian Brady and Myra Hindley in the sixties - to never be found.

In a statement issued at 4.09pm on Sunday, GMP Force Review Officer Cheryl Hughes insisted the excavation continues.

She said: “Following information received which indicated that potential human remains had been found on the Moors, specialist officers from GMP have today (October 2) again resumed excavation of a site identified to the force.
