NEW volunteers are wanted to look after a Bradford district river.

Aire Rivers Trust is looking for people to volunteer to help maintain the River Aire.

The group says volunteering with them is a chance for people to meet others and three quarters of its volunteers said that volunteering had improved their mental or physical health.

The trust runs practical conservation sessions on Thursdays or Fridays nearly all year round. Other volunteer opportunities are seasonal, like Community Outreach, or done in your own time on a regular basis, like Citizen Scientists.

For more information on registering or to volunteer, call the trust on 01274 623400.

To volunteer as a business or college group, email contact@aireriverstrust.org.uk to find out more.

The trust pays volunteer travel expenses and loan equipment.
