A TEENAGER is to appear in crown court accused of carrying a hand gun to provoke fear.
Karmarni Batler, 19, of Belle Vue Crescent in Huddersfield will face two charges at Manchester Crown Court on October 3.
These are: possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and affray.
It is alleged Batler was in the Moss Side area of Manchester on August 15 this year and had with him a hand gun which he was carrying with the intent to cause a woman to believe that unlawful violence would be used against her or another.
Batler is also accused of using or threatening unlawful violence on the same day.
The case was first heard at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court on August 29, but was sent for trial at Manchester Crown Court due to the seriousness of the alleged crime.
The court record became available on Friday.
