WITH the Bradford Clean Air Zone (CAZ) set to come into force on Monday, residents of the city have taken to social media to voice their opinion about the charges and how they will affect businesses and other people coming to the city.
The new Bradford CAZ charges, which do not include private cars, range from smaller charges of £7 or £9 for non-compliant vehicles like taxis, minibuses and LGVs (vans) to £50 for large non-compliant vehicles like HGVs, buses and coaches.

After the T&A published an article on the charges and how to pay them, residents spoke out on Facebook to air their worries.
A lot of people were particularly concerned about the CAZ's effect on how businesses operate and how it will affect the numbers of people and businesses coming into the city.
Taslim Akhtar said: "As a shopkeeper I won't be using Bradford wholesalers anymore as Halifax is not operating this system so they will get my business more often.
Shaid Nazir said: "From the list of priorities that Bradford needs. Clean air shouldn't be near the top.
"It will kill off a lot of businesses and others who deliver into Bradford will put up prices and make the local business suffer."
Susan Rayner said: "Other cities are warning the people about Bradford CAZ and companies saying they won’t take work on in Bradford because of CAZ."
Pam Smith said: "Pure stupidity. The town is struggling and the council does this. Are they trying to finish it off? They need to encourage people and businesses not discourage."
Nicky Taglione said: "Bradford is not congested. It hardly has any people going anymore anyway. You’ve just signed its death warrant with this new change."
Rebecca Jane Wood said: "What a joke, one way to kill off what’s left in Bradford. Just another tax nothing to do with clean air."
However, some T&A website readers pointed out the charges do not include private cars and they could see the benefits of a Clean Air Zone.
Stoney Ridge said: "Well done Bradford Council for seeing this through. Plenty of noisy people opposing and refusing to accept the problem and this step toward a solution. Let's get as many stinky polluting vehicles off our roads as possible."
Website user In Other News said: "If nothing is done to stop rising air pollution levels even more of our kids will have breathing problems for life. Priorities?"
