A MAN has been given a football banning order for using racist or threatening behaviour at a Bradford City match.
Nicholas Taylor, 55, of Bunting Drive, Clayton Heights, Bradford, was given a three-year football banning order after being convicted of one charge.
He was convicted for, with intent to cause others harassment, alarm or distress, using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour thereby causing that or another person harassment, alarm or distress and the offence was racially aggravated.
The offence took place at Valley Parade on February 12, 2022 – when Bradford City lost 1-0 at home to Exeter City.
Taylor was handed a community order which included to carry out 80 hours unpaid work in the community within the next 12 months.
He was ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Taylor pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on September 12, 2022.
