A BAILDON man hopes to win a fortune when he appears on a TV quiz show.
Sunil Mistry, 43, is to appear on BAFTA-nominated Channel 4 gameshow, Moneybags this week from today at 5pm.
On Moneybags, there’s an enormous £1 million passing down the conveyor belt each week, and it is up to the contestants to try to grab as much as possible.
Sunil says if he grabs a fortune, he would love to do up his kitchen and also give some money to his parents.
It is his first time doing a television quiz, adding: “This is my first TV quiz, but I do have the bug now and will apply for more.”
He applied for the show after seeing a tweet by host Craig Charles and said: “I applied for a laugh not thinking I would ever get picked.”
Moneybags is a high-stakes quiz that tests contestants’ ability to think quickly as they answer each question by grabbing the moneybag with the correct answer as it passes along a conveyor belt in front of them.
Those who grab the right answer earn that bag’s value, which can be anything from £1,000 to £100,000. But should the wrong bag be picked up, contestants risk losing everything.
