POLICE have revealed why one of their helicopters was seen flying above Bradford city centre on Friday.
Many Telegraph & Argus readers were concerned when they spotted the aircraft in motion throughout Friday.
The helicopter was circling over areas of the city centre and Little Horton.
Police say the reason for this was an incident involving a knife on Smith Street, near the University of Bradford.
A man has been arrested and he remains in custody.
The force added that enquiries remain ongoing.
When asked why their helicopter was out, a spokesperson from West Yorkshire Police said: "Officers attended on Smith Street today (Friday) and arrested a male on suspicion of the possession of a bladed weapon.
"He remains in custody and enquiries remain ongoing."
