TWO arrests have been made after a man was left hospitalised following a serious assault in a town centre in the middle of yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services scrambled to the scene on Atlas Mill Road, near the River Calder in Brighouse, at around 3pm on Thursday.
A police cordon was put in place following the incident which left the victim with serious head injuries.
A couple of men have since been arrested in connection with the incident.
The victim is currently in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
On Friday afternoon at around 2pm, a spokesperson from West Yorkshire Police said: "Two males have been arrested in connection with the incident.
"The victim remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition."
