A MAN has been charged with wounding with intent after a 39-year-old was rushed to hospital.
West Yorkshire Police has released an appeal as part of the case, which relates to an assault on Oak Street, in Elland, Calderdale over the weekend.
It is believed to have happened at around 5pm on Saturday.
A male, aged 39, was taken to hospital by an ambulance for treatment on a serious head injury.
The force announced today that a 29-year-old man has been charged with section 18 wounding with intent in connection with the assault and has since appeared at court.
Officers are continuing to investigate the attack and anyone who can assist Calderdale CID should ring police on 101, or using the contact options on the West Yorkshire Police website.
