POLICE have issued an appeal after a male pedestrian died following a crash involving a car.
West Yorkshire Police was called to Wilson Street in Castleford at 9.04pm on Saturday night.
It was to a report of a collision involving a man and a silver Toyota Yaris.
Paramedics treated the pedestrian - a man in his 80s - at the scene but he was pronounced dead shortly after.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash, or the events leading up to it.
