BRADFORD (Park Avenue) AFC will host its annual beer festival this weekend.
The beer festival, which will feature will 13 beers and two ciders, starts at 5.30pm Friday at Park Avenue's clubhouse at Horsfall Stadium and will run until Monday evening.
Avenue will play two National League North fixtures at the ground against Gloucester City at 3pm on Saturday and Darlington at 7.45pm, although the festival will start at 12 noon Saturday and 5.30pm Monday.
The festival also begins at 12 noon on Sunday, which is Avenue's charity day with beneficiaries Marie Curie and BPA juniors Barcelona trip.
In the morning, West Bowling juniors play a series of games followed at 12noon by walking football and a junior/academy lads v dads game.
Then at 1pm there will be an Avenue v Bradford City veterans game. Representing Avenue will be Wayne Benn, Andy Hayward, Willie Wilson with ex-City players Gary Jones, Edinho Amaral (flying in from Portugal for the game), Graeme Tomlinson, Like O’Brien, Kevin Sansay, Lee Elam and Danny Forrest.
Admission is free with entertainment for children, bouncing castle, tombola and stalls. There will also be live entertainment from Alex McFadden and RetroGentz in the afternoon.
Beer festival organiser Dave Stordy said: "We're hoping to have large crowds who will come to be entertained."
