THE best of Bradford will be celebrated at this year’s Retail, Leisure and Hospitality Awards.
Brought to you by the Telegraph & Argus and LOCALiQ, along with our partners the Bradford BID and The Broadway, the awards will celebrate success and achievement in the sector.
A glitzy ceremony will be held at The Broadway on Sunday, November 13, kicking off the festive season in style.
Ian Ward, general manager at The Broadway and Bradford BID chairman, said: “We are delighted to host the Retail, Leisure and Hospitality Awards for the third time this November which will showcase the success of local businesses and individuals.
"After an extremely challenging couple of years and Bradford’s City of Culture 2025 win, there isn’t a better and more poignant time to recognise the achievement, and highlight the innovative people, venues and destinations throughout the Bradford district which make the area a great place to shop, dine and spend leisure time.”
The first category is Hospitality Venue of the Year. This award is for the best restaurant and/or bar in the district. Whether it’s the food, the drink, the entertainment - or all of these - what makes your venue the place to visit?
The Retailer of the Year award will recognise any retailer making a big noise in the district. The judges will be looking for what sets you apart from the competition.
The Beauty Salon of the Year award is looking for a business that offers a great experience in the hair, beauty, or cosmetic sector, while in the Hotel of the Year award, judges will be looking for a business that offers a memorable experience with excellent customer service.
In the Customer Service award, judges will be looking for those special touches that put a smile on customers’ faces.
We’re also looking for the best leisure experience through the Leisure Venue of the Year award. Judges are looking for somewhere that delivers a memorable experience of things to do, see or try.
Do you work in a great team, or do you have a great team in your company you think should be recognised? The Team of the Year award does just that, while through our New Business of the Year award, we want to shout about a business that opened in the district this year. To be eligible for this category, entrants must be a retail, leisure, or hospitality business that opened in 2022.
Is there someone ‘going places’ in your business? Then they could be the perfect candidate for our Rising Star award. Judges are looking for evidence of what difference this person has made at their company to make them a real star colleague.
And in our Established Business of the Year award, we want to celebrate a successful business that has stood the test of time.
Judges are looking for nominees that have been in business for ten years or more.
