A WOMAN had to be rescued from an overturned car on the M606 in Bradford this morning.
Emergency services were called to a crash at 11.44am today on the northbound carriageway of the M606 which involved one car that had a female trapped inside.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "An extrication was carried out by fire service personnel and the patients was transferred to hospital by ambulance."
Dewsbury, which was on standby at Bradford, and Illingworth fire stations attended.
There are reports the accident is causing heavy traffic congestion in the area.
Inrix, which supports the T&A Traffic and Travel page, reported: "Two lanes closed and slow traffic due to an overturned car on M606 northbound from Junction 1 (M62 Junction 26 - Chain Bar) to Junction 2 Merrydale Road (Euroway Trading Estates)."
