AN Albanian national was seen tending to over 150 cannabis plants when police burst into a West Yorkshire property.
Last week, officers from Calderdale conducted a drugs warrant on a house in the north of Halifax.
Upon entering they found a large number of cannabis plants in various stages of growth.
Investigations are ongoing as to how the Albanian national came to the country.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "The growing of cannabis is intrinsically linked to the trafficking of people and Organised Criminal Gangs (OCG).
"West Yorkshire Police take these issues very seriously and ask the public to report any activity you might think is linked to trafficking and or cannabis grows to either call 101 or anonymously via crime stoppers on 0800 555 111."
