An art project which saw locked down households create pandemic-inspired artwork at the same time is set to go on show.

It’s been more than two years since 46 painters aged between five and 93 worked on the United Art project.

One of Bradford’s most prolific artists Raymond Hibble was among those taking part.

Now their art time capsule is set to go on a mini exhibition tour around Bradford, featuring themes such as nature, discovering one’s identity, social distancing, pets and more.

Kayle McCoy, a dramatherapist who set up the project after losing most of her work during the first lockdown, said: “I have felt so much pride and honour to hold so many different stories in my loft for two years.

“It’s a piece of legacy by the Bradford people. I had parents skyping their grandchildren and uniting together. It was almost like people were united when they weren’t united. It was completely bespoke.”

The 120-piece exhibition will be coming to Wibsey Community Garden between 12pm and 3pm on Friday, September 2.

It will then move onto Trapezium Arts Centre between 10am and 12pm on Saturday, September 3, and finally Bradford Cathedral between 11.45am and 1.30pm on Sunday, September 4.
