A 23-year-old man has been banned from driving after racing with another vehicle on the Euroway Industrial Estate.
Isaac Ilyas, 23, was spotted on Wharfedale Road, Bradford, on August 1, 2021, taking part in a race between motor vehicles on a public way.
Ilyas, of Wesley Place Chapel, Haincliffe Road, Keighley, pleaded guilty to the offence at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court on August 22.
Magistrates disqualified him from holding a driving licence for 18 months. He received no separate penalty for the offence.
Ilyas was originally charged with driving without reasonable consideration for others relating to the same incident, but that offence was withdrawn at the request of police.
Magistrates took into account the defendant’s guilty plea when imposing the sentence.
