The co-writer of BBC hit comedy The Vicar Of Dibley is bringing his show about living with Parkinson’s to Shipley later this year.
Paul Mayhew-Archer’s show, Incurable Optimist, will be at the Owlet Social Club on Saturday, October 8 (7.30 - 9.30pm).
Paul was diagnosed with Parkinson’s - a progressive neurological condition, with over 40 symptoms and no current cure - in 2011.
Paul started performing his one-man show, Incurable Optimist, in 2018.
In this special performance to raise money for the Parkinson’s UK’s Bradford and Shipley branch, Paul will bring his original show with new material about what has happened since.
Mark Scott, from the Bradford and Shipley support group of Parkinson’s UK, said: “We would like to thank Paul for giving up his time to not only raise awareness of the condition but for also raising much-needed funds for our group.
“Many of us loved watching The Vicar of Dibley and we can’t wait to see his entertaining show when he brings it to Shipley in October.”
Tickets are £15 and can be booked via Mark Scott. Email mark.a.scott350@gmail.com or call 07788 432567 or 01274 568193.
All proceeds go directly to Parkinson’s UK’s Bradford and Shipley support group.
