CAR owners in Bradford have been urged to make sure their vehicle is locked after a man was arrested for a spate of thefts.
A man was arrested yesterday for a series of theft from motor vehicle offences following a patrol by police.
Officers from Bradford South Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) have carried out extra patrols in Queensbury, Clayton Heights, Wyke and Low Moor due to a recent increase in vehicle offences.
Officers have since conducted searches following the man’s arrest and have located property that had been stolen.
Most of these offences were due to vehicles being left insecure overnight.
A message on the West Yorkshire Police – Bradford South Facebook page said: “Please be vigilant and remember to always ensure your vehicle is locked and secure and take any items of value into your home.
“If you have any information in relation to criminal offences please contact West Yorkshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
