Leeds Bradford Airport has one of the highest priced pick up and drop off charges in the UK, a study has claimed.
The airport rebuted the suggestion, adding that Leeds Bradford offers “one of the most generous free car parking offers” in the country.
London Stansted has the most expensive parking fees, RAC said, costing holidaygoers £7 for 15 minutes.
Manchester Airport was in second place, costing £5 for five minutes.
Leeds Bradford ranked in joint third place alongside London Gatwick, Luton, Bristol and Southend.
Initial parking fees at Leeds Bradford set travellers back £5 for 10 minutes.
In response to RAC’s study of 22 major UK airports, a Leeds Bradford spokesperson said: “We provide one of the most generous free car parking offers of any UK airport with our One Hour Free Zone.
“Electric vehicles are also able to use the terminal front car park for free up to an hour. Our drop-off charges remain competitive compared with the industry standard, allow convenient access close to the terminal front and enable us to continue providing a quality service for passengers.”
Blue badge holders can also use Leeds Bradford’s pick up and drop off car park for up to an hour for £5.
