PLANS for new cycle storage facilities for a district rail station have been revealed.
An application to demolish a former sub station on Station Road, Burley-in-Wharfedale, and build cycle storage facilities in its place have been submitted by Golburn Property Management.
The site is 250 metres from the village station – which currently does not have any cycle storage facilities.
The plans say: “The application seeks to assist with the need for secure cycle storage within proximity of the station.
New bike store and ice cream cafe can be built on Apperley Bridge site
"A clear area to the entrance of the site would be created to enable cyclist to enter the site and dismount safely.
"A secure gate with biometric access lock would be installed.”
A decision on the application is expected in early October.
