SOMEONE rang the 999 emergency line...because they wanted police to arrest a bouncer who did not let them into a nightclub.
West Yorkshire Police's Contact Management Centre shared details of the call to highlight the importance of using 999 for emergency calls only.
The team often tweets some of the more unusual phone calls they receive from the general public.
No, we won't come on and arrest a bouncer because he won't let you in a nightclub. #Not999 🙄

In its latest example, the team said: "No, we won't come on and arrest a bouncer because he won't let you in a nightclub.#Not999.”
Previous calls to the contact centre have included someone called 999 to ask them to book some driving lessons for them. Another called to say their knickers had been stolen from their washing line and another wanted police to order them a pizza.
