POLICE were astounded when they were alerted to a stolen moped stashed between graves at a Bradford cemetery.
The black and red motorcycle was spotted at Scholemoor Cemetery by a member of the public yesterday morning.
The vehicle had been stolen from Huddersfield the previous day.
A spokesperson from the force said: "This moped was recovered from Scholemoor Cemetery on Thursday, August 18.
"Police received a call from a member of the public after it had been stashed in the graveyard.
"Upon conducting checks, it was found to have been stolen from Huddersfield yesterday (Wednesday).
"The lack of respect stashing a stolen motorcycle in between graves is astounding.
"It’s now been recovered for CSI to examine and then to be handed back to the owner."
